Project Details
Musandam Gas Plant (MGP) project is located on the west coast of the Musandam Province in the Sultanate of Oman. The project was developed by Oman Oil Company Exploration & Production LLC (OOCEP) to process well fluids from the existing West Bukha field located close by in Omani waters. Well fluids are transported from the offshore platform to MGP via a subsea pipeline.
The plant produces sales quality gas, oil, LPG and Sulphur, and treats effluents to minimize any environmental impact.
OOCEP is ploughing around US$600 million in the development of the Musandam Gas Plant project. The project involves the construction of an onshore processing unit at Musandam, which will then be connected to the offshore West Bukha field.
